It was late March 2024 when a tiny, innocent pup with a severe ear infection was brought to the shelter. During treatment, it was discovered that she had tumors in both ears, so the surgeon had no choice but to remove them. That’s how she became known as Tootak—a little, timid dog who trembled constantly. Though she was deaf, she managed to win the hearts of several people.

Here’s Tootak’s story, in the words of Roya—one of her guardians:

“We first saw Tootak on Instagram…
That’s when our hearts melted, and we knew we had to visit the Vafa Shelter to meet her.

That’s where we met Tootak—a tiny angel, as white as a mulberry, who looked into our eyes with a world of kindness.

Because of a tumor, Tootak had to undergo surgery and lost both of her ears.

But what she had was far more powerful:
A heart full of love, eyes that spoke volumes, and an incredible spirit.

After completing all the necessary steps, we were entrusted with her care. She came to us clean, healthy, and absolutely lovable.

Her ears may not hear sound, but her heart is full of the music of love and peace.

We didn’t buy Tootak—we found her in a place where so many others are waiting to be found.

If you’re searching for a true companion, visit your local shelter…
Maybe your real friend is waiting there for you.

Please don’t buy animals. Buying means supporting breeding mills—repeating the cycle of suffering, where mothers are forced to give birth only for profit.

Adoption means saving a life. It means love without cages.

We hope Tootak finds a peaceful life with us… just as she has brought so much peace into ours.

Finally, we want to thank the kind and compassionate team at Vafa Shelter from the bottom of our hearts.
Despite all the challenges, they care for these angels with pure love.

Without them, we may never have met Tootak.”
