Shirazi family, Spain, January 2020

Mr. Morteza Shirazi and his wife have been financial sponsors of Vafa’s dogs for a long time now. While on vacation from Spain to Iran, they decided to visit the shelter to pick a young male puppy to bring back home with them to keep their dog company. Unfortunately, they did not find a dog that was suitable for their needs during their visit. However, when they were about to leave, they noticed Sasha who was being walked by Kiomars, one of the shelter’s volunteers. They stopped their car, got out, pet Sasha and gave her some food. They then got back into their car and drove away, but Sasha began running after their vehicle. They stopped the car again, they pet her some more, gave her some more treats, said their goodbyes and got back on the road once more. Sasha, once more, began running after their vehicle. It was as if Sasha was asking the couple to be her new mom and dad. That’s all she wrote! Sasha, a 7-year-old female who had lived all her life at the shelter, flew to Spain with her new parents on January 02, 2020.

Recent pictures and videos show her living a happy and healthy life in Spain.
