For over thirty years, the International Association for Animal Rights has designated the third Saturday of August each year as International Homeless Animals Day.

They say that children and animals are similarly vulnerable and need protection.

Today, in almost every country, spay and neuter programs for dogs and cats are widely and continuously implemented to control the population growth of urban animals and reduce the suffering of homeless animals. In these programs (CNVR), dogs and cats Catch – Neuter – Vaccinate – Return to the areas where they were caught.
