This year we are experiencing a different Nowruz. There is no “Charshanbehsoori” or shopping for the new year. There are no parties or family get together and there is no “Sizdabedar”. We are all waiting to get through this mishap.
We are waiting patiently for good days to come, for a hug from sunshine, birdsongs, and blossoms. Waiting to see smiles on people’s faces who have patiently endured hardships and to see them take off their masks.
The great poet of our country, Hafez, says:
Arrived the glad tidings that grief’s time shall not remain
Like that joy’s time remained not; like this grief’s time shall not remain
We wish you good health in the year ahead more than ever!
