Engi ( Engineer)

Engi ( Engineer)

My family calls me Engi, short for Engineer, because I’m so smart.I had lived at the shelter for a long time until a day late in the fall when Mr. Bayat and his family chose me to take home with them. They named me Engi because of my mannerism when we met and the way I behave with my new friend that lived with them before I got there.

I live a very happy life with my family and when they take me for walks every neighbor wants to pet me. Some times Roogin takes me on a walk and sometimes he wants us to race, and of course I always win.I don’t want to brag but I have to tell you about the day that Barfi, my close friend, the other dog that lives with us and is quite an air-head, disappeared. I quickly realized that this was my chance to shine and put all my talents to work and save my friend. Neighbors did not believe that I could possibly find Barfi. I searched the area for hours and sniffed every inch of the surrounding fields until I found her and we all returned home joyfully, and my popularity grew hundred times over.Ms. Zarrin came to visit me on Friday. I jumped in her arms and made sure that she knew I had not forgotten her and am still loyal to our old bonds.I live a blissful life and hope that all of Vafa residents will be this happy in loving homes some day. Until that day…

Benjamin &Toofan

Benjamin &Toofan

I am Benjamin, a kind and dignified wise guy. My brother, Toofan, is just the opposite of me, —he likes to play restlessly, chase cats, poke his nose in every hole, and study every little speck analytically.

I am not amused by him a bit. Our story goes like this:

Toofan and I were buddies at the shelter. When Mr. Torkian chose to take both of us to our forever home we were real glad and congratulate each other. We never thought we would ever get to live in such beautiful garden, and when we saw all that open space we ran and ran in the moist grounds.

That same night Toofan showed off by chasing the poor cat that was sneaking away on top of the wall but I could not take my eyes away from the beautiful swimming pool in middle of the garden. It was way too cold to jump in for a swim. I will save that jump for a hot day.We have been living a very happy life with the Torkian family for many months now. I heard Mr. Torkian tell Ms. Zarrin that he is so used to us and loves both of us. we hope that more of our friends at the shelter will get lucky soon and have a taste of happiness and safety. Until that day…

Max (Namadi)

Max (Namadi)

There is hardly anyone who has heard about “Namadi” ‘s arrival in Vafa Shelter and does not remember him. Right now Namadi has taken the new title of “Max”and resides in his new home.

Here is a few words from his adopting sponsor:” I heard about Vafa from my late father when he had come to visit. I searched more on Facebook and got to know about Mrs. Motamedi the kind founder of the shelter in Tehran. Upon my personal visit , I saw Max for the first time. He was thin, feeble and starved. We could sense the fear in his teary eyes. Contrary to this painful situation, you could say it was love at the first sight. I wowed I would never let his tiny body to rest on any cold or bare floor. Now I am back and we both share our little paradise together. How can I ever thank the people who make these wonderful dreams come true ?

Sincerely, Farahnaz Khanghahi.

César (Gaspayk)

César (Gaspayk)

My name is César, formerly known as GaspaykI was a very sick little puppy when Arash family rescued me and cared me back to health and then I came to the shelter. I lived there for a few months until Mr. Mohseni came and chose me to go home with him to a beautiful garden where one other dog lived.Gorgi and I hit it off right away Sand decided to be good brothers to each other.I should brag a little and mention that I have heard Mr. Mohseni tell Ms. Zarrin that he likes me not only for my good looks, but more for my desire to please him and guard our garden.

I am always waiting for him to arrive so I can show him all my love and loyalty. Wolfie is always learning from me too. I love my new home and my guardian and show it in my behavior as well as my happy face. I wish the same sweet life for the other dogs at the shelter.I wish the same sweet life for the other dogs at the shelter.

Joey & Gandom

Joey & Gandom

I am Joey, a good looking and playful fellow. I was quite a handful in the few months that I was at the shelter and I don’t think any one misses me over there. I was Mohammad’s favorite and he had spoiled me at lot.I learned the basic commands very quickly.

On a beautiful fall day me and a cute female puppy that was name Gandom went to our new home in an orchard with Arshadi family.

I was besides myself at the sight of that orchard. Gandom and I get along very well and team up to guard the property. Arshadi family are the best! I wish for all of Vafa dogs to find homes with families like mine.
