From the day she gently stroked a hungry, homeless dog…
From the day she cried over the street slaughter of a sheep…
From the day she saw the pain and exhaustion in the eyes of a working donkey in a village…
From those early years of her childhood and adolescence, she could no longer remain indifferent to the suffering of animals.

She began by feeding and neutering the stray dogs and cats in her own neighborhood, and a few years later, she founded the first animal shelter in Iran with her personal funds.

The shelter, which opened its doors to hungry and vulnerable dogs on September 4, 2004, is today not only a haven for hundreds of injured and homeless dogs, but also a home of hope for dozens of animal lovers whose volunteer efforts help promote a culture of kindness toward nature and animals.

November 25 is her 75Th birthday.
