In 2016, a chubby puppy found her way to the shelter. She was very tiny….  Sweet and was cuddling with everybody. This adorable puppy was stealing hearts all the way, so Samira named her Delroba (Enchanting in Persian).

But the shelter was not the best place for this small puppy to stay, so several volunteers kept her for a while in their homes (Samira, Shahab, Ms. Kabirzadeh, Tina, Mr. Hashemi and his family). Despite all their efforts, Delroba ended up getting Parvo (Canine parvovirus) and was hospitalized for a few days.

She changed a few temporary homes until she grew enough to be able to come back to the shelter. For a while, she was living in an area outside the shelter. Now, she roams around mainly across the dirt road which leads to the shelter. Sometimes she becomes a little naughty and crosses the other road.

A while ago, in the afternoon of a rainy day, Delroba followed a lady’s car who was coming to the shelter to donate some medications (she does not follow every car!). The lady was impressed and took a video. She named her Mehraboon (Kind in Persian) but oh well she already has a name and she is the Delroba of the shelter!
