Winter 2019- Toronto, Canada- Shaghayegh & Amir

When we opened a box full of orphan puppies, we did not imagine that the first dog who poked his head out first was going to be the first one to get adopted. Just only a few weeks after these little puppies came to the shelter, Marlowe was adopted and flow to Toronto, Canada. The airline officials even allowed this little lucky puppy to enter the cabin. Marlowe was a very good boy all the way to his new home. Now, Marlowe is one of the happiest dogs we have ever seen. He is also very popular and even has an Instagram page!
Marlowe’s new family have sent us a beautiful note and we would love to share it with you.

“Most of us prefer not to see what we don’t want to see. Probably because we don’t want to pay attention to things that bring us responsibilities or things that even might change our minds and believes, and change for most of us is a challenge. Unfortunately, one of the things that we, as a whole society in Iran, chose not to see is dogs. These loyal creatures are only guilty of loving unconditionally.

Also somewhere in history we wrongfully believed that dogs are not clean, and we have prohibited ourselves to live with them or even touch them. Over the years this kind of thinking has gotten worse and has become unreasonable anger. A kind of anger that affects our life.

Lets for once rethink our beliefs and clean them up! I believe that if we rethink about dogs, we will find them one of the most innocent creatures. Indeed, we will bring back peace when we start loving them again. This is what I did with and for my son. With all the challenges that we knew we will have to face we still decided to adopt a rescued dog, and give him/her the best life we can give. Now Marlowe is our newest family member. In fact, he has become very popular, not only with our family but among our friends as well. Now, not only he has changed our beliefs, but he also is the reason that many of our friends and relatives have started to think about sharing their love and their home with a dog.

Thank you Vafa for rescuing and taking care of our boy! We wish all dogs a happy life, a life that they all deserve!”
