In the world calendar, the first week of October is dedicated to animals’ right. This week is known by different names in different parts of the world. Some call it “the week of animals”; some named it “the week of animals’ welfare” and finally some recognize it as “the week of kindness to animals”.

The first day of October is the “World Vegetarian Day”! This day is to remind us that we can live without killing other living creatures. The second day of October is “World Farm Animals’ Day”! Farms animals are born to be killed for human consumption. Isn’t that so wrong? The fourth day of October is “World Animal Day”! In this day all animal lovers and animal rescue groups get together to become the voice of voiceless.
Let’s do something for animals in this week. Let’s feed our neighborhood’s stray cats and dogs, and let’s take our children with us to teach them a good deed. Let’s visit a shelter and offer them our help. Let’s donate some money to our favorite shelter. Let’s do something special for our own pets, may it be a good homemade food or a new toy.  And finally let’s remind others that we are not the only ones living on the earth, animals have been here before us.
