My family calls me Engi, short for Engineer, because I’m so smart.I had lived at the shelter for a long time until a day late in the fall when Mr. Bayat and his family chose me to take home with them. They named me Engi because of my mannerism when we met and the way I behave with my new friend that lived with them before I got there.

I live a very happy life with my family and when they take me for walks every neighbor wants to pet me. Some times Roogin takes me on a walk and sometimes he wants us to race, and of course I always win.I don’t want to brag but I have to tell you about the day that Barfi, my close friend, the other dog that lives with us and is quite an air-head, disappeared. I quickly realized that this was my chance to shine and put all my talents to work and save my friend. Neighbors did not believe that I could possibly find Barfi. I searched the area for hours and sniffed every inch of the surrounding fields until I found her and we all returned home joyfully, and my popularity grew hundred times over.Ms. Zarrin came to visit me on Friday. I jumped in her arms and made sure that she knew I had not forgotten her and am still loyal to our old bonds.I live a blissful life and hope that all of Vafa residents will be this happy in loving homes some day. Until that day…
