Last October, a young man brought a small dog with a severely injured leg to the shelter. He had witnessed the little one being hit by a car, taken him to a clinic for treatment, and even picked up his medications, but he couldn’t keep the dog himself.
Dr. Rouhollah began treating him, and, surprisingly, the deep and large wound gradually healed thanks to the doctor’s efforts, to the point that surgery was no longer necessary.
They named him Gucci, and he became best friends with Peanut and Tala, so close that they wouldn’t let anyone else into their little circle. Eventually, they even carved out a space of their own at the shelter.
But about a month ago, Vania, one of Vafa’s kind supporters, asked to adopt a dog who was most in need of a family. So, Gucci was chosen and, just before the recent war began, he went to live with their animal-loving family.
This family is also mindful of Gucci’s old friendships—they sometimes bring him back to the shelter so he can play with Peanut and Tala.
