After neighbors complained, a young couple brought Panbeh to the shelter several months ago. They loved Panbeh and used to visit her on Fridays.
We asked them whether they had left Panbeh at the shelter temporarily or if she could be adopted by someone else. They said they could no longer keep her under any circumstances.
Then, in November, Sara, an old-time visitor of Vafa, saw Panbeh at the shelter. She looked so much like her previous dog, who had passed away, she decided to adopt her. That day, Panbeh’s former family also visited the shelter, brought her ID papers, and met Sara. Sara is a true animal lover, and Panbeh was very lucky to find her.
By the way, when we later named another dog at the shelter “Panbeh,” the Panbeh from our story had already found her forever home.
The following text is written by Sara, Panbeh’s adopter:
The first day I went to Vafa Shelter was exactly seven months after my sweet Lucy passed away.
That’s when I saw Panbeh, who was a 95% match for Lucy. Panbeh was walking around the shelter with her mom and dad. Her family hadn’t wanted to give her up, but due to complaints from neighbors and legal issues, they had no other choice, even though they loved her deeply.
When I saw Panbeh, it felt like Lucy had come back into my life, as if Lucy was saying, “Mom, I’ve come back to you.” 🥹
As I was leaving, I told Panbeh, “Give me a week to get the house ready for you.” 😍
Finally, the big day arrived. I went to the shelter and brought my baby home from her family.
Now, Panbeh is the princess of our house! 😍
