The Fox from The Little Prince book tells the Little Prince that he is responsible for his rose. He says: “You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.”.

Man has tamed dogs and cats since over 1000 years ago, so now he is responsible for their living conditions. Let us not close our eyes on the animals that we have tamed and have a responsibility towards now.

According to the World Health Organization, in 2020, there were about 200 million stray dogs and about 70 million stray cats in the world.

If more focus is put on straying and neutering them, we can alleviate their suffering and prevent the number of homeless animals from rising.

Animals are also residents of this planet, and just like humans, they have the right to live.

Being homeless does not equate to being worthless.
