Third Saturday of month of August has been marked as the International Day of Homeless Animals by animal rights activists around the world. This year it will be on August 18th.

Lives of all animals and the Eco system around the globe has been disturbed or destroyed by human’s greed, negligence and ignorance. Lives of domestic cats and dogs are not safe from this neglect either. While they have been abandoned and left to stray, their uncontrolled over population has become a major problem for many societies.

Iran is not exempt from this category but unfortunately is taking on this challenge in the worst way which is by killing the animals. One of the objectives of this day is to bring attention to the fact that life of no animal should be taken so senselessly and that more humane practices can be exercised to resolve this problem. Engaging and educating the public on this issue is the foundation of this cultural growth. Lets unite our forces so that in our absence, in the name of public safety and health, the government will not proceed with murdering of these innocent beings whose only crime is homelessness.

Please be an advocate of a helpless or homeless animal in any way that you can.
